A SunBear is equally happy delicately eating a coconut or savagely taking on a tiger. The boys in the band relate to that on every level. 

The SunBears sound draws inspiration from a diverse range of musical genres, including blues, rock, pop, funk and soul. It is both unique and accessible, with an unmistakable Australian flair.  Blending a fistful of George Thorogood passion, a crunch of AC/DC rawness and a sprinkling of John Mayer soul, their catchy melodies, driving rhythms, and explosive live performances sate the appetite of young and old alike.

The band have stormed onto the scene in the past 2 years releasing 4 singles, 2 of which reached #1 on the Metro AMRAP charts and are set to drop their 5th single in June 2023. They have played at some of Australia's most iconic venues and festivals, including the Enmore Theatre supporting Suzi Quattro, Thredbo Blues and Roots Festival, Cronulla Jazz and Blues Festival (to name a few) and multiple venues up and down the country. The band were nominated as semifinalists in the International Songwriter Competition and were also voted by the members of the Sydney Blues Society as favourite blues ‘Emerging Artist 2022’ of the year. And if that’s not enough to get you jiggling with excitement in your seat, the band are heading off on a HUGE European tour in September 2023.
